Description

Ascent is an easy-to-use flyweight in situ visualization and analysis library for HPC simulations. It supports making pictures, transforming data, and capturing data for use outside of ascent. It provides a simple infrastructure to integrate custom analysis via C++, C, Python, and Fortran APIs.

Target audience

Ascent focuses on ease of use and reducing integration burden for simulation code teams wanting to enable in situ visualization and analysis. Ascent is integrated with a number of DOE applications including WarpX, Nyx and AMR-Wind. It is deployed at all major DOE compute facilities and are used daily for analysis and visualization.
