A tool for data analysis and visualization at scale

Area: Data and visualization

CASS member: RAPIDS

Description

ParaView is part of the backbone of DOE’s production visualization at scale capability. It provides a set of C++ libraries for general-purpose visualization, a production visualization tool, and an in situ infrastructure. The end-user tool and the scripting interface enables the interactive exploration of scientific datasets at large scales. ParaView can be run on many different platforms and scales ranging from laptops to supercomputers. Its client-server architecture supports analysis on large systems while interacting on local resources.

Target audience

Scientists and science teams interested in the exploration of scientific datasets of various types, especially 2D and 3D spatial datasets. ParaView is widely used for applications ranging from fusion science to material science.
