VTK-m
A performance-portable visualization library leveraged by production tools such as ParaView and VisIt
Area: Data and visualization
CASS member: RAPIDS
Description
VTK-m is a toolkit of scientific visualization algorithms for emerging processor architectures. VTK-m supports the fine-grained concurrency for data analysis and visualization algorithms required to drive extreme scale computing by providing abstract models for data and execution that can be applied to a variety of algorithms across many different processor architectures.
Target audience
Developers of visualization tools and workflows that need to support parallelism on many core architectures. Researchers and analysists that want to develop data parallel algorithms in a performance portable way. VTK-m is broadly used across the DOE HPC community, most often employed through its integration into the ParaView, ParaView Catalyst, and Visit analysis and visualization packages.
